WELCOME TO WATH
Our Wath Upon Dearne Nursery is located in the Heart of our community a stones throw from the local Library in a spacious period building which was formally a Bank and has a rich and varied history all of its own which can be viewed on the many black and white pictures that have been donated to us. Our nursery enjoys two floors on which our team has created an interactive and varied landscape of sand-pits, home corners, creative areas, cosy corners, messy areas, reading areas, dinning areas, role-play areas and sleep areas to name but a few.
In designing the space that our children will use at nursery we have chosen to create 3 separate dedicated rooms, one for our youngest children aged from birth to two years old, one for our two year old’s and one for our three year old’s onwards. We have done this so that we can tailor the resources and environment in each room appropriately to the age group which will use it to enable the best possible learning and developmental outcomes.
Lastly we are very lucky at our Wath nursery to both enjoy a large and secure landscaped outdoors area as well as being only a short walk from Manvers Lake and Country Park where our children are often taken on supervised community walks to see the ducks and other local wildlife.
OUR MANAGER
Kylie Oldfield is one of our longest standing staff members having first come to us on a college placement in 2005 following which she was employed full-time as a Nursery Practitioner in 2007. Kylie has since progressed through the roles of Senior, Deputy and then finally Manager at both our former Fitzwilliam and now Wath Upon Dearne settings.
During her time with us Kylie has also achieved her BA-Hons Degree in Early Years and Arts Level 6, as well as being involved in one of our settings achieving OFSTED Outstanding and the Healthy Foundations Gold Award along with many other achievements.
Parents often comment that they chose to come to Fenwood ahead of any other Nursery just as much for Kylie as for our excellent reputation. We personally believe this is down to the amazing relationships Kylie builds with our parents as well as the passion she has always shown towards the development of our children.
Outside of work Kylie enjoys walking and working her way through her Travel Bucket-List which recently became a little bit longer following the exciting news of her engagement in 2021 and the start of the search for the perfect Honeymoon destination.
We are very lucky to have her.
